Rachael Ray Visits LA’s Cha Cha Cha
Food Network Star Hails Cha Cha Cha As
Best Brunch Spot in Los Angeles
(October, 2006; Los Angeles, CA) Food Network star Rachael Ray has dubbed the original Cha Cha Cha in Silverlake as ‘The Best Brunch’ in Los Angeles. Her television show “Rachael Ray’s Tasty Travels,” which airs every Tuesday and Friday evening at 9:30pm, arrives in Los Angeles to film an episode to feature the brunch of Cha Cha Cha and Chef Toribio Prado.
Cha Cha Cha recently celebrated twenty years in Los Angeles’ Silverlake region. Now considered an institution on the East side, Cha Cha Cha is credited with introducing Los Angeles diners to the new and exciting flavors of Contemporary Caribbean Cuisine. Chef Toribio Prado opened to rave reviews by then Times Food Critic Ruth Reichl, quickly becoming known as THE RESERVATION in LA. Twenty years later, Chef Prado has relinquished ownership of the restaurant to his nephews, the Anaya Management Group, who have since opened a second location in West Hollywood, as well as future expansion plans for Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Now in its third season, the Food Network’s top raided “Rachael Ray’s Tasty Travels” reaches 85 million homes as she heads out on a coast to coast odyssey of her favorite restaurants and hot spots. Every episode reveals Rachael’s handpicked locations as she takes you to the hip, the cool, the fun and the funky places every major travel destination offers; with an eye toward bargains and the best bang for your hard earned buck!
